Hmmm.. I can actually picture blue rams would look like a nice addition to the scape. But do they actually get along well with dwarf shrimps and my tiny rasboras and borasras?
As for killi, i have know knowledge on keeping them so i had better not try. Bettas are definitely a nono though. I used to feed my betta live malayan shrimp from my old scape when they were overpopulating. I swear they love live shrimps, and all my cherries inside will just be digested into my bettas stomach if i added it into the tank.

This should give you access on the library of fish information available.

A warning will show up if you have select a fish which might cause harm to the fish/shrimp stock. You could experiment with in this enviornment without any setup. Just some option selection.
Thanks for the links, i just tried the AqAdvisor Stocking calculator. Its seriously a cool app I'm amazed by how comprehensive it is in terms of indexed fish species and filters. The results indicates that I'm seriously overstocked and under filtered. But thats largely because I have 60 borasras brigittae. I am wondering how religiously I should follow the information given because those fish are tiny and the bioload of 1 of them is not going to be equal to the bioload of 1 cardinal tetra or cherry barb right? I am estimating the ratio is 1:3 or something.. Hmmm..
To be frank, mine was calculated to be 120% over stock. I was skeptical. But looking at each round of maintenance, I should say it's correct. And going 100% is like a no-no thingy too. I might get my hands on new tanks then I can experiment further. =) hee, but that will have to wait till July after I clear my laptop debt in June.
Some updates:

as can be seen... BBA. urgh.
Outer surface of the tank can use ordinary water spray and newspaper to clean. Inner one I always use green cloth to clean, so long its not plastic, won't scratch one. If it really get too eye sore for you, just control the lights a bit here and there, should be fine. When I say control, I mean off it. The inner surface after cleaning, normally I will do a water change there.
nah the green spot algae on the glass is fine with me because its very easy to get rid of. its the black brush algae stuck to my fissidens that reallly got on my nerves, because they are very clingy and if i pull them out my fissidens go along with them.. thats really the irritating part.
There are those who use H2O2, I myself currently put a bit, clear a bit. If you must put, a 2ml is ok. I am still observing the effect. Another thingy I use is anti-algae. Effect also yet to be concluded.
bro just curious what do u keep in the btm tank?![]()

wow i like your 1st scape.
where are all the little red fish and galaxy!!? I'll liove to see them swim in my tank on of these days...
i actually still have 2-3 of the remaining galaxies in the tank but not all of them are faring to well. it seems like some kind of disease because one of them is deformed as though it doesnt have a stomach. i passed the borasras to another bro because they weren't schooling like i envisioned them to do when i did the scape initially.. i suppose it was easier to stick to the tried and tested neon tetras that never fail to add nice colour to the scape.
anyway i remembered the name of the plant i didnt mention: mini bolbitis.
