Yikes bro, your tank is supported on 2 different tables, and one of them is a folding type?

Your tank looks much better now. Is the light strong enough? You choose a difficult plant to grow...hahaha. You might want to consider nana or java fern, quite easy and non-demanding.

Wow sharp eyes. You don't want the puffers in there if your CPO start breeding. The babies will become tasty treats.

    Re: newbie tank

Do you have mini-pufferfish in the tank? Your baby CPOs (after hatching) will likely end up in their stomach. It is better to keep mini-pufferfish away from invertebrate tanks.

sad news i have no idea why did my crayfish die. i have no experience in breeding them. not sure why they die. one of them die after 2 to 3 days with the baby still with her. the other one before she died she ate her eggs than dead.

will post new tank set up later.

    Re: newbie tank

I found crayfish easier than shrimps. So something must have been wrong.

I had a well non-soil cycled tank which produced about pH7.5. The dwarf crayfish manage to breed (2 batches so far).

So, question is, is your pH too low for them? What's the effect of wrong pH? Can low pH cause molting problem (let those with knowledge touch on this)? Did you cycle your tank properly? There are many reasons.

    Re: newbie tank

hmmm yeah i did cycle tank for 3 weeks.

hmm ph level is around 7.5 ~ 8.

i think it might be the fishes in the tank than make them over stress.

been very busy this few days will post pic asap

    Re: newbie tank

For a relatively compact tank, you've made it look spacious. Great job!
