Welcome to this hobby bro. To improve your grades, do selective breeding. Do not mix crs of good genes with those of poor genes. This increases the quality of your genes pool.

Hi there,
I currently have a breeding tank of mix grades CRS, S - SSS and snowwhites. They are already breeding, but most of the offsprings are A/S grades with some SS (like 70/30). How do I improve the grades and whiteness? There are some higher grades with bad whites. Do I remove them from the tanks and just keep the nicer ones in there? And would it help if I get some flowers CRS and SSS grade BDS to add into the pool? Is it better to have higher high grade males or females? So if there is a high grade male and a S grade female. Would they have a good mix of normal and high grades offsprings (SS and above)?
Sorry for so many questions.
Best regards,
Chin

Throwing in good quality Snow whites in the selective breeding process have been used to help improve the grade of CRS in the long run too.

I have been told that adding snow whites is a short cut way. The next generation will get a lot of snow white offsprings as well. Would it be better if I invest in flower heads instead? I understand flower heads will only get Mosura and above offsprings.

Flowerhead is nothing but heavily snow genes. You wont get any good "return" in investing in flowerhead.![]()
