    Hi,

Can those using Lushgro Micro share about how much of Micro you are dosing weekly into your tank?

I have a 22gal (about 83l) planted tank and is currently dosing 3 drops of Micro per day. However, my macrandras (both red and green) are not growing well as the indicator leaves are pale. I suspect this is due to the fact that I am not dosing enough Fe.... (and not Ca deficiancy as suspected earlier[] )

Should I increase the amount to 9 drops daily so that I will be adding about 0.1ppm a week? This will add up to 63 drops a week, which is equal to about 3mg a week (a lot more than the stated 1 drop per 100l).

    Thanks.

Wayne...the amount of traces to add for each tank is pretty much different. Just make sure you keep your NO3(5-10ppm), PO4 (0.5-1ppm), GH (3 or more), CO2(20-30ppm) and K(20-30ppm)is in good shape and you can increase your trace element dosage and then monitor for at least 3 weeks to see if it improves plant growth. (Lushgro Micro lacks some minerals if I am not wrong.....coverage is not so wide like Flourish or TMG.)

    illumbomb,

did you receive the Excel I sent? Some of us use Fe as our guide. As for me, I increase TE until Fe is 0.25~0.5ppm.

    Hi Geoffrey,

I did, that's why I know 9 drops daily will bring me to 0.1ppm in 1 week time (assuming no Fe is absorbed by the plants) and reach a max of about 0.27ppm in 5 weeks time (with 30% water change weekly).

If I stick to 3 drops daily, I will reach 0.1ppm in 4 weeks time and will max out at 1.7ppm.

So when you say 0.25-0.5ppm, are you using test kit or base on the maximum reachable taking into account of water change or are you refering to weekly dosage?

I do not have a Fe test kit now. [] Should I buy or can I just base on visual inspection of the plants?

    Thanks.

Peter, I am Wang, not Wayne. Haha.

Hahahaha...Okay..its wang then. Fe is pretty much funny to test for in my opinion. It will probably be gone in a couple of hours or days if you don't test it fast enough. Maybe the following article can help you decide how to dose your micros... Link here
