Hello people,
Recently the spiky moss that my DW is tied with is dropping off, as the bottom layer which is very old has turned brown and the newer layers that grew out sort of detached itself from the dead moss which did not receive light. I'll find a few pieces of spiky moss dropped off everyday and my DW is getting more and more barren, except for the parts at the top which are closer to the light.
Anyone has experienced it before? Is there any advice or should I re-tie the whole DW with moss again?

Ahh ok I see. Didn't know that
Any idea what moss this is?
Planning to retie my DW when I propogate more of these for a change.
the texture look like X'mass but again it is difficult to identify moss by photo. All vesicularia species will look similar
Mm ok then I shall play safe and propogate enough of these to cover my DW. Gonna take a long time![]()
It looks like either Spiky, Singapore or Peacock moss due to the frond structure.
My guess is it's Singapore Moss.

I agree with Loh, it looks like Singapore moss, the feathery shape tell, christmas moss is more detail in shape. I used to think those are christmass moss too.![]()
