    Hi guys,

I intend to add some shrimps to my 1.5ft tank, but I kinda have zero knowledge on the breeds of shrimps and stuff.

I want to fill my tank with only blue shrimps, but most of those I see are usually red-dark red, CRS looking shrimps.

Any idea where I can find a group of just blue shrimps?

    And:

    1) Just a rough idea, are they very expensive?

    2) If they do breed in the tank, will the babies turn out blue, or will other colours emerge (i hope not =P )

    Thanks!

    Hi Edward,

have a closer look for the so called 'Hong Kong Blue Shrimp
'. It is colored from blue to brown. IMHO you will get mostly blue offspring; but do selective breeding anyway. I do not know where to buy them in Singapur but maybe another guy can advise you on this.

C328 have them, they're not expensive 1packet of 10 cost like $6-$8. they're quite hardy i think. ya if they breed in tank the babies will usually turn out to be blue.

Colourful sometime have them. Be prepared to get a packet of at least 20 pcs. I bought it once and it produced like madness and ended up I have to give it away for free and evacuate all of them to give more space to my other shrimps.

    Don't believe you see here.

    Re: Blue Shrimps

Hi, recently i saw a blue shrimp called fire blue shrimp at midori green chapter. it is quite expenisve (1 for $10 and 5 for $40) but the colour is good, one of the best blue shrimps i seen so far, and they are very healthy. also, they are true blue shrimps, meaning the colour wont run.

seen those too, very pretty and very blue!
just make sure your tank condition is fantastic before letting them in... they're costly!
