This may be a long shot. Try soaking her in metronidazole. Some medications that have metro include the Jungle anti internal parasites. soak her for about 5 minutes or so then put her back into the tank. Sometimes it works.

I know it is a bit late to ask but did you try NLS Thera A. I know it does not sound very plausible but I've had very good results using it for an Apisto baenschi male.
The male had a sunken belly and was not feeding. Only took bbs and was getting skinnier. I tried NLS Thera A and the male was feeding well and getting better in a short period of time.
In a few weeks it even came up to the surface to wait for food. I'm not related to NLS in anyway whatsoever. I just believe that it really works.

It's probably the garlic content in Thera A+, which helps to attract, and keep the fish healthy. If only they'd make smaller packages. I'd buy to try before getting a larger container.

Well if the fish is not eating, i will use Dennarle brand Vitamin S7 to help its immune system first....before lure them to eat. This method helps on my fishes...esp those "thinning off" ones.

    Re: Apistogramma bitaeniata "tefe"

Thanks for all the kind advice, jitticus, scope, doppelbanddwarf, stormhawk. Also, the second "lover" confirmed very healthy, adapting very well.

Actually i have MQ4 on hand but i am hesitated to use it as afraid might worsen the situation. Before i could use it this time, it was dead.

Wanted to get theraA+ but don't used it very often, also a waste if unused for too long. Dennarle brand Vitamin S7 seems good. Can consider.

Just 1 question. If I soaked the pellets in the fresh garlic juice, will the effect the same?

No idea, but Seachem has a product called Garlic Guard. Maybe that might help, instead of making your own garlic mix.

I've seen it at C328, but no idea on the price. It should be stocked wherever Seachem products are sold locally.

Just adding on to this. A friend of mine bought some Paretroplus with internal parasites (tapeworm and what-nots) and he soaked tetrabits with the Jungle anti internal parasites (the small bottle) and fed them to the fish. It was a disgustingly long tapeworm and lots of white poo that came out. I can vouch for it! I saw the worm!!
