Does Air pump cause high PH

Dear Forumer,

I would like to get some advice, Would air pump lead to higher ph?. I tested on my tank before air pump my ph was 6.3 after air pump run 5 hours. I notice my ph goes up to 6.5

Hope to hear some advice and comments from expert here

One possibility is that dissolved co2 in water lowers ph, running an airstone expels some of the co2 hence raising ph.

Try to control the number of air supply. It will help to stable the PH levels.

Bro KEVAN YAP, thanks for the advice, now i used air pump control. PH are not high now. good idea
