have anyone tried LED lighting on planted tanks?

I found this pretty nice looking LED light set called the Panorama while looking at videos on YouTube. Link below is to their website:

Looks like an awesome way to light up your tank, but the cost is fairly steep.![]()

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

At least one person here has:

I wonder if ervine tried making one for a much larger tank.

white led is essentially a blue led and coated with phosphor of different colours to produce white light. a portion of the blue light is transformed to longer wavelengths. their dominant wavelength is around 450nm.
seems that some folks have reported good results in using white led for plants.

You need the correct par for the plants for it to work. The saltwater enthusiast has reported that the 3w led bulb is better than the 1w led bulb. Not all led bulb can be used though as the par might not be strong enough to reach the substrate.
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

You can take a trip down to NA. The moss is growing very well since 2008 Dec when I get the LED lights from there. Think seeing is believing.

Haha ervine, I thought you would be fiddling with the 3ft by now. Your piece of work is still impressive though.
