    Hi all, isit advisable to get a 4x3x3ft(H) tank for planted? What filtration is recommended? All inputs are welcome.

    Not recommended to get a 4*3*3 feet for planted.
    It is quite deep

    if you want try to keep it to 2 feet high, you can still use MH lights, even t5 for low-light plants

    Agree, too deep, 1.5~2 feet full will be ok, the rest like aquaobsession say.

    As for filtration, after you planned how deep/much water you going to keep then find the right filter. normally we will get a 3x water (water in the tank) / per hour filtration,
    (like 20 gallen tank will get a 60 gallen water flow / per hour filter)
