My tank is 2 ft, in the day about 27 - 29 degrees, in the night about 25 to 26 degrees, with CO2 about 1-2 bps and 2X24W T5 lights. Some reach for the light while some send out runners but slow growth. So far have not shown signs of melting. Keeping my fingers crossed . I'm still researching on how to grow HC well.

Not too sure if melting is a norm, but there are posts here in AQ that says melting occurs if you transfer it from emerse to submerse form and lower temperatures seems to aid in HC's growth.
