I have recently added frogbits to my new tank and some of the leaves are turning brown. Is this normal for frogbits ?

Normally frogbits don't rot this way. I've had this problem on and off too. I believe it could be due to chlorine in the water but I could be wrong. For me I remove all leaves showing signs of rotting.

I have done the same after reading your post. Added some anti chlorine. Forgot to mention that its a new setup. So high chances that your observation is correct.
Also consulted another bro, added some liquid fertilizer too. Hope it helps !

    Thank you.

Yes I did this recently also, after I decommed my CRS tank I moved about 5 large handfuls of frogbits to a holding bucket filled with chlorinated water, straight from the tap.

The next day they were falling apart and exhibiting those brown spots. the leaves were turning mushy overnight.
Also frogbits aren't very tolerant of rough handling, I found this out the hard way also.
