Recomend tank glass thickness

hi all i will be ordering a 2 x 1.5 x 1.5 ft tank

would you all recommend a 6mm or 8mm thickness tank?

For me, 6mm will be goood enough for a small tank
By the way, what are you keeping?
What sort of layout?

the size 2ft X 1ft X 1.5ft dun need to order u can get from most of the aquarium shop.

Not sure abt the pricing range....for that size brand should not be a problem..mostly for that size the glass thickness will be 6mm for ur info.

thank you! ok with a chiller right. say maybe around 24 degrees. i heard if it's too thin condensation will be a headache.

trying to do one with a river bank but not sure need lot of rock or not

maybe rock to separate the different colour sand?

6mm should be enough if you are not doing heavy rock-scape

nope. 6 or 8 they are both transparent. haha. its just whther the tank will hold. i'm no expert in this but thats what i think. correct me if i'm wrong.

Ya if u using chiller then u need to order for a thicker glass.....if not u will face the condensation problem.

I have built a 60 x 40 x 45 cm tank using 5 mm glass but it was divided up inside into two and there were braces along the top. As long as you include a brace along the bottom and top 5 mm will be fine.
