    Sonique,

Like what Simon said, if you want a table lamp for your tank, you can get it from Ikea . No need to get from LFS. I used them too.

The clip ons, try Aquamart at Paya Lebar. Personally, I'd settle for just a normal desk lamp in I have space next to the tank.

Budget is the word. My 2 ft tanks uses 2 x overhead lamps...very ordinary type for 2 ft tank, cost around $20-$25 (kena chopped), whilst my 1.5ft uses 1 x overhead lamps (2 tubes) which cost $50. Yup, we are talking abt S$ here.

If you are free, I would suggest going to North Serangoon (Near Hougang) Simply becoz there is a great concentration of shops there for you to decide which lamp to look at. There are a lot of show tanks to look at too, so you'd get a pretty idea of what you want.

    My favourite shop:

    Sonique,
The market for lights in Kelantan Rd or lane is very huge. Do what you do in Sim Lim Sq when purchasing computer parts, walk in, ask for product and price. It helps if you know what you're looking for. Pity they don't have pricelist displayed outside the shops.

I've been to Kelantan Rd a few times, maybe if you point out what you're looking for I may be able to tell you which shop may carry the items. For price, you have to ask yourself. IME so far, electrical items are reletively cheaper there.
    Cheers!!
