Possible to enforce stricter rules in market place?

You think possible to put something like if...endif statement to detect if the group is market place? I don't have the syntax for php since I am not verse in this language.

This will allow a template to be created in the posting area. Do this for New post procedure only.

I think it should help to "guide" instead of "regulate". Wouldn't this be a better approach?

Good idea for the interim. No need PHP. I think one of the plug-ins we have allows us to pre-set a template. I'll good look see look see.

Btw, in general we prefer not to edit the source code. Makes things difficult when upgrading or installing plug-ins and modifications. vBulletin has a pretty decent plug-in system.

If this is successful, template if can be implemented as an icon or as a link is also good since you can expanded it also to conduct diagnostic analysis of e.g. Sick Fish, Problem Tank, Problem Fauna, etc. But for the time being, a little step forward would prove both experimental to the acceptance of the community and to the benefit of the thread/subject itself. I built on the wisdom of others; just a typical programmer habit.

I am giving away a 3ft so thought it might be a good chance to impose the template. We can't just say say like NATO (No action talk only), so I decided to make a post at marketplace. My first post at marketplace in fact. One of the frustrating part when reading in the market place is there is no pictures most of the time. So I decided to do a good post this time round. Let's hope I would get a geniune forumer who decides to repair the tank, paint the stand and continue with the hobby. =)

Actually I am quite surprise with that answer. Nowadays most people can goes for smartphone which usually comes with a camera. I think the main problem is whether the phone comes with a direct USB cable to plugin to PC/Laptop or not. Another thing is that people might be paiseh (shy) to post a grainy picture. Actually I think our fellow forumers could understand that. One time or another, we ourselves once carry grainy camera phone too. I just hope everyone could be more open on that. Of course, those with a DSLR Camera, don't tempt people..hee.

To me, it is not about quality, but to show some pictures is better then non, as showing lousy pictures is really better non.

To make it easy, just throw the camera near the subject and shoot!!! Who cares about wide angles etc, so long no hand shake.

=) yes, just a picture will do fine. So long it gives a general impression of the product he/she intends to buy/sell/give/exchange. I would all hands up to that.

Agreed maybe enforce is not a better word.
Maybe the template should include a attached picture, so people will automatic put one.

That would not be necessary since both basic and advance mode allow either links or upload facility. I guess just have to leave it free play. People who read this thread would understand.
