ohhhhh... but aint they too big for a planted tank?
just want to put some big rocks, and maybe a few stalk of plants.
something like this, except that i'll be adding some big rocks and using nature gravels.

ada soil is sold by keong seong for $48 for (9kg pack I think).
I expect the gravel if you do find it , should be HIGHER unless its brought in by a distributor.
why don't you just get normal ones? I've been seeing some gravel sold at c328 that looks pretty much like a mix of various grains and textures..
Wat fish is dat? It got external gills.----------------

Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
i heard this ADA nature gravel can stabalize the pH.
that fish is an endlicheri, a type of bichir.
uhm
ADA gravel is great for growing plants
if you're using it for the touted pH stabilising effect, you'd be better off with other kinds of gravel
the ADA gravel gives a VERY low pH, which might not be suitable for polypterus spp.
and this pH will gradually go up to ard 6+
imo pH stability has got more to do with whether you add strange things to the tank than just the gravel
another thing is the gravel purportedly disintegrates in 1 years time, turning into fine powder
that might not be suitable for you
hey, thanks for that information. guess i'll go with normal "nature" gravel/sand. appreciate it.
Err... I wonder if DEA has confused ADA gravel with ADA Aquasoil. I know Aquasoil is for plants... the gravel, by their size alone (from the pics) are not suitable for plants.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
now i'm confused.
Your first picture shows ADA Aqua Gravel. I'm not familiar with that.
In Simon's first reply, he referred to ADA AquaSoil (Amazonian, Africana, etc) and ADA PowerSand.
All three are not the same. The last 2 are for planted tanks. The gravel, I have not seen before, but due to their size, I doubt they are suitable to grow plants by themselves.
I have a feeling DEA thot you were referring to ADA AquaSoil when you said Aqua Gravel.

oh, sorry for causing the misunderstanding.
