My name is Jonathan and I'm from Singapore.

I LOVE aquascaping, but unfortunately due to one reason or another have had to give up my aquariums. So I haven't got one now. However I am ALWAYS excited about seeing beautiful tanks by other people. And if I ever get my own place I hope to set up a 6ft tank. Something that I have ALWAYS dreamed of.

My favourite fish are loaches, especially kuhli loaches coz they look like eels. *shivers with excitement* Beautiful things. I've had 3 ft tanks with cories, SAEs, tetras and yamato shrimp. I love shrimps. And snails. Strangely, fishes to me are more of an add on. Haha.

Yeah a 6ft tank someday. With TONNES of plants. None of my tanks have ever had CO2 tho. So I usually just work with Java ferns/mosses, nanas and marimo balls (Which make my friends squeal in delight).

Great meeting ya. Maybe we can set up a community tank someday. Haha. Somewhere to rent out space for people to just set up tanks. Wouldn't that be amazing?

=) Welcome! Don't get too excited. Remember you are the maint. guy, not only must you be financially ready, you have to be phychologically prepared to perform maintainance as well...always a nightmare when tank gets too big.

Your current 3ft should be a good practise ground for lights, filters and CO2 injection. Feel free to browse including the DIY section. You might find something that will interest you along the way. Have fun!

Don't worry, I'm not really new at this... I don't actually have a 3ft tank anymore... not any tank actually. I sold that off coz I'm a foreigner in Singapore so I move alot. Was a bit difficult to keep a tank under those situations.

I know big tanks are kinda difficult, but i really would LOVE the challenge. Besides, the peace and wonder that a huge tank like that gives you cannot be bought by any amount of money. *grins*

Thanks for the caution tho. So far I've been browsing around and can I say, THIS IS AN AMAZING FORUM. Heh.
