    Hi Skaer,

I put my betta in a plastic tank for breeding. The tank is around 1.5ft and cost about $6 - $7. You can get the tank at any fish shop.

    Thanks.

Actually you should put more plants for the female betta to hide as the male would chase the female and bite its fins or tail! You would not want to see the female with so many torn fins right?? Anyway thanks for sharing. Hope to see many fries soon...

Simple but effective tank. I used to breed them like this too, but without the styrofoam piece. Now I know that it is better to use it, so the nest doesn't break up easily when I try to remove the female.

Simple and nice setup. Maybe can include a hiding place for the female in case the male is too aggressive. Good luck

actually it ok for male to hit on female, the next day they will breed, i am waiting for my red dragon spawn now the male is taking care of the egg, people who have did saw my pair should know. both male and female have 180degree finage and full mask. i mix and match at last i get a super nice pair for my red dragon. now trying to breed my black dragon finally i get a pure black dragon. both male and female have 180degree finage, even my friend did came my house they said my female like male, but it is female. i can wait to share with you all my red dragon and black dragon spawn.
