Quite disappointed with the shipment. Inka almost 90% are females (many have sunken bellies), never see the shishita....i think they mixed them with the last shipment of bitaeniata. Anyway...the bitaeniatas are small, around 2.5-3cm. Nijsseni are even smaller, majority are around 2.5cm. The atahualpa are giants, they are around 6-7cm....looks like most of them are males to me.
Galaxis im not sure what are they, never really heard of this apisto name. They are of decent size, but color wise i dont really think they're that attractive.

Planted tank: Melanotaenia Lacustris, Melanotaenia Parkinsoni, Melanotaenia Praecox, Glossolepis Incisus, Melanotaenia Maccullochi, Melanotaenia Boesemani, Iriatherina Werneri, Barilius Canarensis
Was at NKS jus now. Who grabbed all the inkas
Shishita should be bitaeniata "shishita". The nijsennis are really colourful despite the small size, much better colouration than farm bred ones we normally see. Couldn't resist getting a pair.
Galaxis a few females are in breeding colours. I wanted to get atahualpa too but couldn't find a female.

The nijsenni are actually Apistogramma panduro.

Ya I only realised they were panduros when I returned home from hostel over cny. Flipped through cichlid atlas and compared. Nevertheless very colourful fish.
For the panduro actually quite easy to tell even in the crowded tanks in nks. There were several coloured up females when I was there. For males just choose the most colourful one. For the other species much harder to tell the gender apart.

Apistogramma atahualpa, nijsenni and bitaeniata are species names. Galaxis is most probably what is often named as Apistogramma sp 'Galaxis'. Inka would be Apistogramma baenschi. Shishita is bitaeniata 'shishita'.
According to this thread:

Mortenthaler could be Apistogramma sp 'Lyretail I' or Apistogramma sp. 'lyretail II' (Apistogramma martini)

NKS is having a Clearance Sale on Apistogramma.
It will be a good chance for you if you are interested on Apistogramma.

Andrew
Males have blue ringed by orange while females just have a orange ring without blue. My pair has bred but can only spot around 3 fry.

I say that it is panduro instead of nijsenni because the black blotch on the tail is large and triangular, while in nijsennis it would be a small oval blotch.
chongyu
Yup. The pair I got matches the panduro.
