    Planted our first tank (120x45x60) on Sat, 2 days ago; plants used are
    foreground -micranthemum umbrosum (baby tears)
    mid - eleocharis parvula (hairgrass)
    on drift wood - anubias barteri 'Nana' , java fern, bolbitis heudelotii, christmas moss,
    on rocks - riccia fluitans,
    background - ludwigia arcuata, rotala rotundifolia, and crinum natans.

    using Co2 & lighting, without chiller;
    have added N,P,K and other mineral balance this morning.

    Hope to receive feedback on planted tank and plant mix.
    Also suggestions on how to ensure plants thrive well.
    (after 2 days, some plants are not doing well)

    Re: New Planted Tank -

    After 60days, this is how my first tank looks.
    Have planted more densely and changed the foreground plant to glosso, and added a variety of plants to create a garden. Just last weekend. decided to add a chiller 1/4 hp (HaiLea 150A), because the temp was howering at 28C and noisy with 2 fans roaring 24hr. Also had problem of milky water, which has since been resolved.

    Hope to receive inputs from more experienced bro. out there.
    Thanks!

    Hailea 150A should be 1/10HP and not 1/4HP. This is way below for a 4ft tank usage.

    Re: New Planted Tank -

    Need help on algae-eaters;
    I have dark brownish algae on my riccia fluitens and greenish hair-like algae on my christmas moss. My horde of "workers" (6 otto, 5 cory, 2 synodontis, 2 pandagara (not sure if correct name?)) are not eating them. Can't put in yamato shrimps coz of my angels and 2 dwarf pufferfish.
    How can I get rid of those algaes?
    thanks!

    Thanks for asking.
    Please see the 4 pictures of algae.
    Appreciate it very much if I can get help on which algae eaters will eat them, or how to get rid of them. Cheers!
