Well I am not sure if it is Malayan shrimp. Looks like FR Sakura to me.... correct me if I am wrong.... as I don't really see any shrimp so red beside the FR sakura...

    Re: blue33's Malayan Shrimp

Yeah those shrimp look like Neocaridina (Cherry Red / Sakura) and not Caridina sp.

Don't think I've ever heard of a red morph for Malayans, I have about 100 of them breeding in one of my tanks, there are dark brown (almost black) and there are dark blue ones in that tank also, but very very few.

    Re: blue33's Malayan Shrimp

When i bought it, the colour just like yours, brown, white, colourful colour. Later on it change colour to this, but those very brown or dark colour remain the same. After few breeding all becomes this colour. This is the 2nd batch of Malayan shrimp i bought from C328, gives the same result. Btw i dont feed my shrimp, they eat from the moss micro-organism, sometime they get the remaining left over that i feed the fish. I move some of them to the high tech tank, the colour is even more stunning. Below 2 pictures are the first batch i bought from C328.

Malayan shrimps are also known as rainbow shrimps. So it is not surprising to see such red malayan. Nice shrimps you have there Adrian.

    Re: blue33's Malayan Shrimp

Hehehe... Well, i also got mine from c328. Just like yours, initially they were kinda white in the bag, but they turned either brown or red in the tank. Was also surprised some turned so red. I guess we're not alone, as Shadow has them too . I think sometimes it's quite hard to ID them just based on colours and pictures. Initially, also thought - could they have accidentally mixed some sakuras into the bag? Don't know... but doubt so too, since quite many turned out this way, and don't think it's only your bag and my bag... haha!

Wow... super mini xmas moss! Your shrimps would love them . Unfortunately, the last batch of xmas moss i tried turned brown, so i'm thinking of replacing them with other "easier" moss, ha!

Their like the cherries i bought from C328 before, they all turned super red.
Sadly, they passed on when i "over fert" my tank.

Currently i only dare to keep malayans, and a few are black or reddish.
