Hi, need help. Just bought a brand new chiller today, Artica DBA-075 1/10 HP, to chill my 100L tank. After running the system for about 3 hours... my tank temperature doesn't decrease. In fact, the temperature is increasing. Is my chiller faulty? How long will it take to cool down a tank of 100L from 29 to 25?
My setup - Inlet -> Filter (Eheim 207-> Chiller -> Outlet
Current tank temperature - ~29
Chiller showing ~ 29.2
What is the flow rate of the pump or canister you are using to feed the chiller?
Is your chiller well ventilated with no obstructions in the front or back?
Also have you calibrated the chiller thermostat to match your tank temperature?
What are your tank dimensions? 100 Litres is an odd size.
It should take (with ideal flow rate for the chiller) not more than 30 min to 1 hour to bring 100L from 29C to 25C
Flow rate is 1850l/h.
No obstruction in the front and back of the chiller.
Calibrated the chiller thermostat to match my tank temperature.
Tank dimension is 80x30x50 which is 120L. But I filled the tank with 100L of water only.
Chiller recommended flow rate is 15 ~ 61 l/min.

Yes. It does.
I'm a newbie to chiller. How warm should the air output be? It doesn't really feel warm to me. Should the water output for a normal chiller be icy cold?
Is DBA-075 1/10HP suitable for a 100L tank in the first place?
I was using 1/10 to chill 150 liters tank. Since it is new, it should be still under warranty.
I am using a Hailea 1/10 to chill a 180L tank, but with an external thermostat, it doesn't take that long though.
1850L/hr is way more than sufficient, unless there is something unusual about your loop.
The air coming out of the chiller should be noticeably warmer than room temperature. Have you tried turning the chiller all the way to the minimum setting to see what happens?
What model of Eheim filter are you using? I don't think there is a Eheim 207 filter model.
If your tank temperature is increasing after 3 hours, then my first impression is that your filter is generating way too much heat and your chiller is unable to cool down the temperature sufficiently.
What you can do to test if your chiller is faulty is to disconnect your filter and chiller from your tank and using a pail of water, connect your filter and chiller to it and run them. Regardless of how much heat is generated by your filter, as long as the chiller is working fine, it should cool the pail of water very quickly.
If the chiller still does not cool the pail of water, then get the service guy down and service the chiller.

Thank you for the respond guys. It turn out my chiller is faulty. Brought the faulty chiller to the shop for an exchange, and it's working fine now.
