    Re: Lighting Question

^^" already encounter problem at the water filter side...I will get around this technical issue. If not, it will cost major CO2 leak there. Think I going to waste one bottle on this. Still thinking how to get by this issue. Might need to scale down from 15mm pipes UPVC to use Nam Kang K-Flex PU Tube which is so far I can find at Biotope only, but this will cause up-built of pressure.

    Re: Lighting Question

I have a 3-footer tank. If I were to use 2 x 39watts T5 lights, will it be too hot for tank? I intend to put it on for 8 - 10 hours a day. Have not bought it yet, but already in the pipeline to replace my T8 30 watts tube.

It will be for FW tank for fish and plants but not a dedicated one.

    Re: Lighting Question

When I returned to the office today, I found that one of my Co2 pipes have come off and half of my tank's water was siphoned off onto the office table, etc. It was quite a mess. The facilities management people found out and came by, it was obvious they werent too pleased. Anyway the mess got cleaned up and no fish was harmed. I will look into getting several check valves for the Co2 equipment but will stop Co2 injection for the time being.

Noticed that I am starting to get some green spot algae on the glass walls of the tank as well as hair algae on the leaves of the crypt parva. To counter the algae, I have reduced lighting to 1 tube of 8W T5, 1 18W PL for about10 hours and observe for 1-2 weeks. I am also thinking of adding another 2 Otos and maybe 2 Yamatos to help with the algae clean up if I can sell off 4-5 pieces of my Celestial Pearl Danios. If anyone is interested, do let me know.
