    i was thinking of pvc pipe material glued at the joints instead of metal bars to hang a 3 feet light set , any suggestion or advice that it would be strong enough

    There are all types of Aluminium products for the purpose. They look so much better too.

    i believe pvc pipe will bend once you hang your lamp.
    unless you use pvc pipes of much bigger diameter.

    thanks for the input , might consider the aluminium , looks easy to fix up
