Hi All,

Just set up my tank. Noticed within 2 days, there is this white colour moldy thing growing all over my drift wood and substrate. Could anyone enlighten me what that is and what causes it ?? More important, how do i get rid of it ???

that's fungus.. usually happens when the wood isnt boiled or treated properly

So how do you get rid of the unsightly whitish fungus ??? is there a prawn or fish that i can purchase to eat it or is there medication to get rid of it.

take it out and boil? wonder if add anti-fungus medication will work.. anyone wanna comment?

scrap off the algae and then boil for 3 hrs :/

U don't have to worry about the fungus on the wood. Once your beneficial bacteria sets in, the fungus will disappear within 2wks.
