Hi,
I am new to this, I would like to know how to grow algae onto rocks, which will be submerged in water.
Supposingly you got this:
1. Container
2. Granite rock
3. Water
4. Some Spirulina powder
5. Garden fertiliser
How to start growing them? Any steps?
Thanks. Though I might also google![]()

Wow colin.... your algae covered wood looks really nice! A very good idea to culture algae on the wood instead of the usual tying of moss on the wood. How long do you leave the lights on and how long did it take before the wood become like that?

Thanks for commenting aquarius. I leave the lights on for 10 hours a day. Too much light. 4x2x2 with 55x2 PL and 30x1 FL. It took me 1 year to do that? I am not sure. I didn't track the progress. It is by chance. And btw, I fed the altums with bloodworms. This partly explain why.
One person is good and has proven that he can cultivate green BBA on wood... is Mr. Chan of N.A.
