The loss of life is regrettable, but a killer whale is still a killer whale. The report itself states that the Orca named Tilikum, has been involved in at least 2 other deaths before this incident, and it was behaving oddly just before the incident. The warning signs were there, but they didn't take heed I guess.

Agreed, whilst I am not totally unsympathetic.
There are certain realistic expectations that one should have when working around wild animals, especially large carnivores.
