I have a male A. elizabethae 'Super Red' that I posted here. He is currently in his prime and his female mate has long been gone (she never was interested in him the entire time they were together). I'm currently trying to purchase 2 female replacements, but I have a couple of questions:
1) Should I house them all together (1M:2F)?
2) The male is in a 20G (80L) with Chocolate gouramis and Ember tetras; I should move the Apistogramma to a separate tank to increase breeding success?
3) I plan on rehousing them in 10G (40L), is this enough for a trio?
