are you using manual regulator or solenoid regulator?
You can check for leakage using soap bubble or shaving cream.
Dear all,
I am using a Co2 diffuser and running around 3 bps in my 2ft. For the first 2 weeks, I could see bubbles coming out of the diffuser. In the last week however, I do not see bubbles coming out of the diffuser anymore unless I increase it to around 5-6bps. I do not have a drop checker so I do not know if my Co2 is sufficient.
Any advice on what I should check or is it a "normal" occurence. Thanks in advance.

Solenoid. Ya hoping to avoid using soap bubbles because might get messy but guess there is no choice!

You mentioned you using diffuser, is the ceramic plate clogged? Any algae on it?

Yes, my diffuser has algae on it. I was thinking that if it is clogged, then even increasing the Co2 to 6 bps will not show the bubbles which is what is happening in my case.

try clean your diffuser, yo can soak it with bleach but make sure you clean it properly
Wah bros, you are correct. Diffuser totally clogged with algae (I wonder where my Co2 went). View from outside seems slightly clogged, when took out could see it was totally clogged.
Soaked in diluted bleach for around 10 minutes initially and some turned from green to brown. However, those on the ceramic plate still very stubborn and refused to come out after scrubbing with brush. So now not going to give face and will soak in undiluted bleach overnight.
I think it's better to buy a new one... Just my opinion.
It is better to have backup. In case clog by algae, you can just take out and replace it with clean one while soaking the clog on in clorox.
zonkkie,
buy a new one. Also check the tubes, if they need replacement, do it one shot. They ain't that expensive to replace.
actually, might change to reactor. The diffuser doesn't seem very efficient. I am doing 4bps for my 2ft planted and the drop checker is still slightly bluish.
That is kinda weird. You shouldn't have problems getting the CO2 levels up to good levels near the 2-3bps range for CO2 on during the day method unless you are gassing it off rapidly.

I guess I still need to check if there is a leak somewhere.
Robert - Yes, using kH = 4.
>"< Reactor? I have a mini one in my 2ft. Hidden between the brevipes.
Small Small, water flow is distributed out. Besides the usual rainbow bar, I saw extras in between of each hole, and using gravity, so the water flows out slowly instead of one giant gush. There is a small air stone (comes with the design) for difussing the CO2 out where the CO2 mingles with the water flow. Show you the pict for your reference.
