I've set up a 1ft tank in office and intending to breed some shrimps. However, the glowlight danios and emperor tetras in it sometimes pecked at the shrimps. Some of the shrimps have since jumped out and died.
Question is which fishes can be kept with shrimps? Will cardinal tetras be agressive to the shrimps too? Any advise is welcomed!!!
PS. Any seen any cherry/tiger/bee shrimps in LFS?

Cardinal and neon tetra are not aggressive and can be kept with shrimps.
I'm not so sure about Cherry barb. I have one that is a little aggressive but only attack smaller fish when they intruder into it territory. So far no major problem living with shrimp. But long ago, I bought another cherry to give company to this lonely one and guess what! It's so aggressive that I flushed it into the toilet.

That is good to hear then. I also thot emporor tetras are peaceful. Dat was till i saw them waiting patiently for the shrimps to come out of their hiding place! Chase them and peck the shrimps!! Now 5 tiger shrimps become 2 only [----------------

Hmmm besides NA/GenX/SysEngr, where else can find tiger/bee/cherry shrimps?

tetras are no doubt peaceful, but still, they eat anything that can go into their mouths.
My bleeding heart tetras can tear a shrimp apart into pieces in split second, seen them done that few times. The rest of other tetras will also peck on dead or weaker shrimps.

Thanks lorba! This means it is better to keep a pure breeding tank for shrimp?
Cos the office tank is a low maintenance one and I only feed the fish once every 2,3 days.

yeah, joe, it's good to keep them in a species tank if you're bent on breeding them, but it's fine to keep them with fish, adds more variety to the tank
cardinals, rummynoses are amongst the less aggresive of the tetras
there are many other fish out there which can be kept with shrimp
i'd suggest asking the shop owner before committing
