how much to feed & do shrimps fight n injure each other for food??

Hi there, need some advice!
tank setup:
a 2ft by 1ft tank, 10crs n 10 sakuras n bout 80 odd shrimplets(unfortunately,all sakuras, i think!!) which are bout 4mm long.i've got some java moss growing extremely well on an inverted coconut shell and another lusciously green leafy thingy on a piece of wood. hv also got algae growing on only one side panel of the tank.(i work hard every 2 days, scraping algae off the other 2 panels!!it was a brilliant decision hving the back panel covered in a foam rock wall!

am feeding once a day with CrustaGran, each rounded piece is bout 2mm in size.i try to break each in half, then throw in bout 12 half pieces, sometimes 15.
is that enuf? tend to throw in more when i see 2 to 4 of them fighting aggressively over 1 piece.

i had 3 sakuras dying the last 3 days and am wondering if it's fr the injuries sustained during food fights!!(to be safe, i did a water change)

are seed shrimps(bugs)caused by having too much food around in the tank?i catch one almost daily...

am thinking of throwing in 20 pieces, let them feast and take out the excess food after 2 hours, what do u reckon?? will the food pollute the water during the 2 hours?

I always let mine fight for food. i just throw in 2-3 small pieces, and watch them fight for it. evil.. they can find food in the tank on their own actually. so no worries.

i have abt 20 crs (adults and shrimplets) and i dun even feed them everyday. Every alt days i will feed them and let them fight for it. Cause most of them they cant finish off the food. I am feeding them Mosura Specialty food. Not 1 stick but break per stick into 3 pieces and drop in 1.

Overfeeding can cause water pollution and Planaria infest.

thanks, am going to feed mine once every 2 days..got rid of 2 tiny snails n a tiny worm, bout 3 mm long last evening. do i ever have to clean up the pump n filter?
