13 watt for 1 feet is enough. but it also depends on what plants you house inside your tank.

hi.. but i read from somewhere that says i need to have 3wpg so I need at least 30w for a 1ft tank? so is a 13w pu lighting still enough?
0.25 cubic feet is only about 1.5 UK gallon.

Would you want to let us know what you want to acheive. What plants you have in mind and how about CO2? If you are just doing Moss, Nana, Java Fern then 13W should be alright for a 1ft tank. If you want to go high light then yes go with 36W plus CO2 plus macro/micro dosing.
