sigh, my juvenile boxfish just passed away this morning after bringing him to his new home on friday. He was pokin around on the live rocks for food and swimmin well. My nitrite level was at 0,1 but now is at 0,2 and my ammonia is at 0,25. The starfish is still alive and stickin' well. what could be the problem? I don't have much in the tank for start just rocks. Could the temperature be a factor? Do I need to fit in a skimmer now? How do I reduce the nitrite level? Also, I've got a Pro•Buffer dkh given to me. Can I use it and does it help? Thanks dudes.[

how long have u cycled your tank??? the fact that the starfish is still there dun mean that the tank is matured...if u suspect that the temp is a factor, what is the temp that u have inside the tank???? wait till the NH3, NO2 to go to zero before adding more stuff...
