hi guys, anyone knows where can i get the o-ring (orange) for the priming pump? I checked with NA and tamp (K&K) and both mentioned i have to go down to qianhu to get it. kinda too out of way and K&K mentioned they normally would want to replace it for you as it requires the dismantling of the priming part. now my 2026 has minor leaks.. =(

thanks BFG, do you think are they willing to sell me just the o-ring without bringing the unit? or do you think is it possible for LFS to get it for me? QH is real real far too out of way =(

hi bro, getting the o-ring is one thing...
do you know to dismantle it n fix back the 2026..
if yes, then you go to your nearest lfs n get it ordered in for you..
if the lfs always ordered fish,
fish food or Accesories from supplier Qian Hu weekly ...
i am sure they will glady ordered in the o-ring for you..
hope this helps![]()

thanks bro, yup, i know how to fix it back. i'll try and ask the LFS. my 2026 is leaking slowly =\

o.k now fixing part...solved
next will be the ordering..
just check to make sure its not the inlet and outlet connectors
that connects the hoses...last time round my 2026 leak from there
and the big black o-ring..change o-ring and connectors at Qian Hu about $60
now no more pro2 series for me..i had enough..too much spare parts to change after 3 years problems start arisingi am using Eheim classic now
now Eheim pro2 connectors are $35 per piece..please do not break it when doing maintenace![]()

oh gosh... you are right.. i just called a LFS, he said he could place an order for me, have yet to confirm with him.
next i called QH, they were firm that they don't sell the primer o-ring alone and asked me to bring it down. I told him my leaking problem and he too mentioned might be from the connectors. They still insist on me bringing down for them to rectify the leakage.. I enquired the charges and its like 3/4 of the price that i bought this 2nd hand 2026 =(
Yep, I have to bring mine to Qianhu. Lucky for me, got a good friend to drive me there. This is the achilles heel for the Eheim Pro 2, the red o-ring and the big o-ring. Either one will cause you some frustration. But it's a definite work horse when it's working though.
A tip though is to get a container to place your eheim canister into. For mine, I uses Ikea Samla container. At least when the canister filter leaks, the container will contain the leaked water. When you have the time then can you deal with the canister. If you do not have a container, you would have to dealt with the leak immediately. I have 3 2026.
Hope this helps!

actually i did not really take a look at the connectors. QH said there is o-ring there and it could cause a leak. I didn't suspect there because there is no reason to touch there or any moving parts. I only notice my o-ring at the primer pump has excess when it was put on and thats why i suspect that is the cause. The big o-ring did gave me some problem too. some time if it is not seated properly, water can be see flowing out. but that doesnt cause much problem after trying to seat it well properly.
I have found a website that sells this o-ring, http://www.atomicrice.com/ does anyone purchase from it before? considering that it is USD10/pc it is definitely cheaper than what QH quoted without service charge.
should i give a go for the o-ring replacement or to QH? at least the leak is not that serious, just a small puddle at one of its feets after a few hours, i guess i can take up BFG suggestion for the time being.
The red o-ring is in the motor compartment. Very rare will you be opening this part. As for the link you provide, I have not tried this o-ring before.

thanks BFG yup, i am aware of that. the 2nd hand 2026 priming was stiff, so i bought the eheim lubricant and gave it a lub. Its all good initially, but later on i think due to old age, while priming during a change, i guess one part of it got stuck causing it to stretch a little bigger. now that i have ensured it seats nicely in the groove, there is still slight leak.. the website is quite good, it has step by step instruction + illustration on how to dismantle it to lube the parts.
however do it at your own risk =) eheim does not encourage this.
now my only best bet is seaview. gave them a call and they said they would dismantle from others if they dont have the stock... but i doubt so =)
