Help with shopping list -equipment + plants

Hi everyone, I am a planted tank enthusiast from India and I will be visiting Singapore next week. While I have been to Singapore before, I havent a clue on where to pick up fishy stuff since I wasnt in the hobby the last time I visited. Below is a list of things I want to pick up which arent available in India or are too expensive/hard to get :

1] UP inline CO2 atomizer or similar
2] Eheim External filters
3] ADA Amazonia 1
4] Light Timers
5] Dosing pump
6] Regulator + solenoid
7] Utricularia Graminifolia + other plants, UG mainly
8] Some shrimp, not RCS or Amanos
9] Cree or Luxeon LEDS + drivers for a DIY project

Could you guys let me know where I could get these, preferably addresses, directions and phone nos. Ideally I would like to pick these up from a single shop or area to save time. Ill be staying at the Grand Hyatt if that helps and would prefer someplace not TOO far, obviously doubt I would get fishy stuff in the city center.

Hey thanks a lot for your help. Is the Sim Lim Tower you mentioned the same as the Computer Hardware one or is there another one ? Any particular shop ?

The computer Mall is Sim Lim Square.

Sim Lim Tower should be opp the big junction if I not wrong.

Nature Aquarium is located at Thomson opp Thomson Medical Hospital.

Depends, I think mostly Ill go and pick up everything except plants on Monday (15th) and at the same time pack the plants/shrimp so that I can pick them up Tuesday afternoon before my flight.

Which is the closest MRT station to Thomson Hospital and are these shops inside the shopping centre opposite ? Thats what it looks like from the map.

So Sim Lim tower is walkable distance from Centre ?

Also, do any of the mobile operators have prepaid sim cards which have internet/data service ? That would be great since I can use my iPhone otherwise I will always be getting lost :P

I have also forgotten what plug types you guys have are they 2 or 3 pin round ones ?

On your question regarding the plug types found here, we currently use a mix of Type C and G. Refer to this site for the plug shapes:

The stuff sold here should be workable with India's electricity grid. Perhaps all you need are socket adapters. Easily found for a few dollars.

Closest MRT to Thomson Medical is basically Novena Station. The shops you are looking for (Nature Aquarium (NA) and Colourful?) are located at the "shopping centre" like what you see on the map. Except it's not really a shopping centre, but just a group of neighbourhood stores. Both stores are great for planted tank stuff and other materials.

The other option is to pay a visit to C328 at Clementi Block 328, like what Rahul (retro_gk) usually does when he's here. The store has all sorts of aquarium products and supplies, along with a good selection of fish. Another store near it called Polyart, will be a good place to have a look if you're in that area. Green Chapter is opening a retail store in the vicinity as well at Block 354, if I'm not wrong. So that's another place you can have a look if you have the time.

Another shop you might want to consider visiting, for ADA products, would be Biotope. Their location data should be in the LFS listings, or try the Merchant subforum.

Thanks a lot for all the info, Ill check out NA and Colourful maybe on friday or saturday. If they have all the stuff I need then great, if they dont then Ill have enough time to visit the other shops you guys mentioned.

Yup, the plugs will work in India.
I know retro_gk from the indianaquariumhobbyist forums so Ill contact him for some more info.

Ok so any idea on wether Starhub or Singtel would be better to get a prepaid SIM which has internet access ?

I think both have mobile Internet access via their prepaid SIM cards. However, there should be phone shops at the airport when you land. Best to ask the staff there, or check in town at their official stores in and around Orchard Road.

Since you guys have been so helpful , I have another non aquarium shopping item I need to find. Mods feel free to move or delete if necessary.
I am looking for a Chinese medicine shop actually I am specifically looking for Gastric Mucin capsules if anyone knows where to get.

You can probably try the medicine halls in the Chinatown area. If you have the name in Chinese, they should have what you require. Some have special trade names.

ADA Amazonia is running low on stock hence Biotope Shop have re-ordered. It has not arrived yet last week. So you might want to pm Biotope Shop id for confirmation if it has arrived yet. Comes in 3L and 9L (9L feels like 10kg)
