As the thread title states, I'm looking for this particular FivePlan/GEX 2ft Low tank. I think it's meant for keeping Goldfish but I have other purposes planned for it. C328 is out of stock on this particular tank so I hope someone else knows where to find this tank.

Does Polyart stock up on FivePlan/GEX tanks?

The tank dimensions are 60 cm x 30 cm x 26 cm, just in case. Thanks in advance.

    Re: FivePlan/GEX 2FT Low tank

Posted this 2 years ago, resurrecting it again. Anyone seen this tank? It's called GEX 600L LOW, probably from the Marina series, so it's from the same line as the regular 600N that is made in Indonesia. If anyone sees this tank, preferably in the west, let me know.

Was that the low height tank similar to the one by the branding of ejay?

I saw a low height gex tank at NA. Not sure same model or not

They only have Glassterior or GENOAH series, myself is wanting to buy a used Glassterior Slim 600

    Re: FivePlan/GEX 2FT Low tank

Not the typical 600N from GEX barmby, it's the lower type, made for goldfish or tortoises.

EJA has a similar one but made of glass. Between EJA and the GEX Glassterior, I'd rather buy the Glassterior. I'm going to C328 again this weekend to check the tanks out again, and will probably drop by at NA if I have the time.

Did you get a price for the Glassterior 600L from NA? The PDF from Rein Biotech shows RRP at $46. I think I was quoted much lower at C328 for the same tank.

    Re: FivePlan/GEX 2FT Low tank

I was comparing the EJA (lol, i typed ejay!), but the latter has round edges which i do not really like....

i recall $30+, but my old brain forgot Glassterior 450 or 600. Tomorrow very likely will go by to buy trace as i am running low, i confirm and whatsapp you?

I don't have whatsapp Did not get the phone at IT Show, queue was too long I gave up and went home instead.

IIRC, I think the Glassterior 600L was $25 at C328, same price as their typical 600N normal 2ft tanks from GEX/FivePlan. The new Genoah tanks are pretty nice too, at least for the 40cm version.

    Re: FivePlan/GEX 2FT Low tank

This 'low' 2' tank has the same outlook as the normally seen 600N? If so, I've happened to seen it only once before at C328 and if it wasn't for my wife stopping me on what she perceived as an impulsive buy, i would have gotten it there and then if of any interest, the 1.5' 'low' seems to be readily available.

IT show always packed like SMRT.
Ok for me, since my transport going C328 will sum up to more then $10 (taxi back from C328 is $12).

Is this new shrimp home btw?

    Re: FivePlan/GEX 2FT Low tank

cherabin, that's right. I saw this tank early last year. Wanted to get it but I couldn't decide. Following day I went back, it was gone and I felt like kicking myself. It had a goldfish sticker on the front side, much like the S/M/L tanks. What they stock now are the glass tanks from the Glassterior series, and the fancy Genoah tanks.

Felix, yeah it was packed to the brim. I bought an external HDD for a fellow AQ-er, and ended up winning a free 500 GB external HDD right after I bought his. The new tank will be for the shrimps, since with a lower tank, it'll be easier for me to work with as the spare space I have is not very big. I intend to make a DIY background for the shrimps, but that will be a separate project.

barmby, it's alright. Thanks for trying to help out, much appreciated.

    Re: FivePlan/GEX 2FT Low tank

    Bro,

So which is the model you looking for? I prefer a low height 2 footer too. But at 30cm wide, its a little tight, which they come in 60x45x30.

Stormhawk, I shared the same sentiment as you, should had went to impulsive buy instinct and got it when I saw it.

Anyone tried contacting the Gex agent (Rein-Biotech?) for products that are not available locally?

Yesterday I went NA. It's 35 pasted on it. should be the price.

Saw another one no brand 2 feet around a little shorter then 1 feet but depth is maybe 15-20 cm.

    Re: FivePlan/GEX 2FT Low tank

I emailed Rein Biotech and their manager, Wilson, got back to me. He gave me a PDF with all the RRP for GEX products available locally, but he did say that the 600L Low is not in stock at the moment.

    Dimensions as follows:

    600L Low - 60 x 30 x 26 cm (same material as the 600N Marina and the S/M/L series)
600L Glassterior - 60 x 20 x 25 cm (fully glass, comes with a base pad to place the tank on)

I prefer the 600L Low because it emphasises floor area over height, which is what I feel shrimps and some fish prefer, whereas the Glassterior focuses on the length, with the narrowness of the tank making it far more simple to scape with less gravel and plants.

60 x 45 x 30 cm tank is available from GEX, but not locally. It's not listed in the PDF.

So any chance for a tank of that dimension is to custom make?

    Re: FivePlan/GEX 2FT Low tank

Highly likely that is the case. I find that the trend now is short but slim tanks. Not so much short and broad tanks.

    Re: FivePlan/GEX 2FT Low tank

Hi Stormhawk, I'm very keen on a 600L myself and would hence like to enquiry if Rein-Biotech manager mentioned about a possible restocking of the 600L in Singapore?

I think I'll get a couple just for contingency if they ever surface in any LFS I'm quite fan of Gex type of tanks as they can withstand my constant lugging around, without fear of much damage, especially to the corners.

    Re: FivePlan/GEX 2FT Low tank

His reply was that they are not sure for now, but once it is in stock he will email me. I'm hoping it'll be soon. Going to C328 this weekend to check for myself.
