Hi there, need some advice on treating pieces of driftwood before they are safe to be placed into the shrimp tank.
have been told that boiling it helps... or simply submerging them in hot water?
    what is the ideal method?
    thanks!

yes you are right. Boiling hot water kills off whatever worms, insects that comes with the driftwood.

I always soak my new driftwood in hot water or even better, boiling water in a big pail 24/7 for a week before introduction into my tank. Everyday changed water once with hot water.

It depends also whether the water are still yellowish in my pail. If it is continue to soak.
