How will adding blackwater benefit my shrimps?

Hi there,

I visited a LFS and the very approachable (i assume) chief staff advised me to add some blackwater to my shrimp tank which is currently housing some crs, sakuras n shrimplets...
Would like some of your opinions on the above.

Think most people here do not add in blackwater.

Good that you are checking before buying. LFS is in the business of making money, so some will just push everything deemed good for shrimp tanks even though some items are not necessary.

Whatever these LFS says, if you feel uncertain, check it out in forums on individuals experiences.
