    Hi Everyone,

I planted Ludwigia Brevipes at the back of my tank with about 1cm apart now, after like two trimmings, the bush is growing very dense.

My question is, is this ok? Would this lead to the lower stems being deprived of light and as such starts to rot off? I mean I am not seeing any signs of that so far. So should I just leave it or should I start to try to pluck out some stems in between?

    Thanks!

    Re: Question on planting

Yes, it is ok. It is common for stem plant to have leggy leg below without leaves when it turn bushy due to insufficient lighting. Thats why stem plant usually plant behind and hardscape in front to cover the leggy part. Alternatively you can pull out till you see some roots and cut it off, leaving the roots behind(as base ferts) so as not to disturb the soil, as for the stem plant, crop off the leggy part and replant.
