Same powder?

I was given kh powder to increase the kh. its white in colour. i open up my bicarbonate of soda and its white too. it has the same smell as the kh powder given. so izzit the same powder? i've yet to confirm what brand of the kh powder is it given by my friend.

Yes bicarbonate of soda is used to raised kH. So the powder that u have would indeed be sodium bicarbonate.
