Growing HC

assuming that i can steadily supply CO2 and enough lighting for my plants, how much of a limiting factor will fert (i'm assuming base fert) be to growing HC?

Will the HC completely die off without even growing?

This is quite a tough question. Amano said that plants use 4 hours to make food, then goto sleep for X hour, then return to make food again for another x hour. Therefore, his MH and FL lights turn on and off at different timing.

HC will not die if you take care of their needs.
