nice simple setup...one that the fishes sure feel at home

I think the pair's ability to interact with you, and plus the fact that they are breeding just goes to show how well they have settled in your setup. Hopefully I'll be able to do something like that really soon for my wilhelmi pair. Well done!

Maybe i also can do something like yours..
Short and sweet
But i'm worried they might feel shy and keep hiding..
Do you put some ottos or snails to clear algea or there's no algea problem then i really do have to setup like yours...

I think whether they will be brave or not depends on both the species and the individual fish.
So far I only have a pair of apistos and some green neons, no ottos or snails. Algae is minimal as the surface is covered entirely with frogbits.

Nice setup Chong Yu. I like natural style set-ups. It seems that for some species, nothing short of a "dirty" tank is sufficient. They just love the muck and detritus that builds up.![]()
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.

i too like the "dirty" tank setup with some algae build up....just in case..fries that occasionally appear can feed on these as 1st food

Care to share with us what light you use and how long do you leave it on?
Guess if there's any fries you'll just left them with their parent's care?

hi Chongyu, I guess your tank is about 3 months now. Any problem so far esp on the simple filtration that you're using? You do you have any fry at the tank now, I wonder if BB is enough to remove ammonia.

May I know where did u get your Apistogramma panduro?![]()

So far no problems with weekly water changes. I've just left the fry alone with the parents, so there are only a few.
The panduro was gotten from NKS in Hougang.
