I lost these few pieces to a case of bad weather and internal bacteria. It's amazing - they started release the white faeces nonstop.
i believe at times, the breeder actually fast the fish too long before transportation.
That's why they give out white faeces.

Beautiful! What is the plant you have floating on the top of the tanks?
If i am not mistaken it is Indian Fern, Ceratopteris thalictroides, good for wild betta tanks. They also can float, providing some shady areas inside the tank.
