Hey guys, I am thinking of buying a blue fluorescent light for my planted tank, so i can switch on it at night or during the hours that the main lights are off.

I have some concerns that hopefully someone can clarify to me? Does blue fluorescent light promotes the growth of algae and also green water? Are there any other side effects from it as well? Thanks!

ir depend how many watt do you put in. It is fine if you put in couple of blue LED but if you put 150W MH light then you are asking for trouble
