Obviously, no. Ottos is the safest fish.
Keeping rasboras, is fine by me. But remember, take it at your own risk.
You may never though they might attack the new born shrimplets, despite the rasboras gentle nature.

i double it. if you wish to rear/breed shimps, best to keep them without fishes.

thanks for the advise , looks like i got to have a hard time catching the fishes out now![]()
personally i think its ok. might eat shrimplets though but if ur crs aren't breeding then no problem. but then again, as long as the population increases at a reasonable rate. no harm right? haha.
What about mixing all types of shrimps together? Like red cherry...cRS...green..orange..yellow..tiger..all put together?...
What are the advantages or disavantages of doing so? I can predict I will have a hard time separating them in the future......without removing the stuffs in the tank.
i seen a site before on how to catch fishes fast ( forget which one le )
use a 1.5 liter mineral bottle, cut the top part <|=== then invert the the cone and slot in >=== sink the bottle in the tank and try to drive the fishes into opening. your fish will trap inside the bottle.
-good luck-

some of the shrimps are under the same species and will be able to breed together but their offsprings will look just like the wild version of them

best to just keep it simple with CRS alone.
I agreed with Eviltrain, best is keep all the fish out of sight from a shrimp tank. Find that otto are quite irritating when come to feeding time.... always snatch the food from the shrimp and create stress for them
Unless you want to create some new breed like what master Silane have done, Tiger X BDS.... else guess is just for your own personal collection. Like what I have previously, a mixed tank. However after awhile get kind of sick with the mixture, hence have decided only two breed in my current tank.

The safest scenario to have fish is to have a bigger than 1 foot tank, plant it heavily and limit to less than 5 smallest fish like mosquito rasbora.
Quite true, but when come to feeding time you see so many colors, it can be a beauty too. In the past I used to have almost all colors in my tank but now I limit to sakura, yellow, snowball, green and CRS/BDS only because these are the best of my mixture & hardy too.
I assume Cardinal Tetras not safe too? They can be quite fierce when hungry.
Cheers
