Tip from some senior here is to pull them in order to keep them trim and fit. They will 'root' more if you do.
Question from a moss noob: I have a moss wall which I think is already in perfect condition, with the bottom fronds growing out well and the wall generally sloping downwards nicely. Should I continue to prune it? Or can I leave it to autopilot and grow now?
Thanks in advance!

Just pull them out and leaving bits behind. they will grow madly again and again. Look at the show tank at Green chapter. the moss is even creeping onto the filter pipe, why? because lorba pull the moss instead of trim. root means cling

I tried both trimming and pulling the moss, in the end decided to leave it alone... Check out my moss wall now![]()

Well, it must compliment the scape. Therefore, great if it works for you.

Thats a nice moss wall, from my experience. Every time the moss is full grown, the parts inside the black mesh seems to die off and the wall will start becoming sparse even though i do trim it. How you guys cope?
I am thinking of using those netting used to keep off birds for a new change. I had regrown quite afew walls!
Hey, what kind of moss is that in the photo soltari? Looks great!
