    Hi,
LR indeed is full of surprises, last night I saw 2 millipete type of worm, only that it has soft semi-transparent body. It's head has about 5 feelers. Innoncent looking creature but it has 2 big snake like teeth when it opens it's mouth.

    Anyone knowns what it is?

Anyway, I don't think it can survive long as I'm cycling my tank.

    Allan,

Live Rocks have micro-organisms in them. My suggestion is to soak them in fresh water before use. For the duration, ask the pros...

    These are called Bristleworms.
Most are not harmfull, and are actually of benefit.
Currently keeping many wild betta species and other anabantoids.

live rock helps to cycle the water and it's a form of natural filtration too.

soaking the live rock in freshwater defeats the purpose of it. mirco organism will be killed and most of the bacteria will be destoryed.

like what Mez says, most of it is good. don't have to worry much.

i usually dun soak my LR in fresh water... i just dump them inside.. if u wan to remove the decaying organism, use a soft bristle toothbrush and gently brush them and rinsing them with seawater..
