Whether they are truly wild or not is not the whole point. The point is I saw them in Midori (Green Chapter) today!!

    They are:-

    Betta Ruitilan
    Betta Uberis
    Betta Bellica
    Betta Foreschi

    Definitely no ugly betty

    Hi Barmby,

If you know could you please PM me the price for the rutilans and uberis? Also, how big are the fish? I just called them but funny thing is the guy who answered the phone wasn't sure of the price.

    Thanks!

Are the fish big enough to sex? Or have to "tikum-tikum"?

Enda, call Roland of Green Chapter - 96773826. Did you call on Saturday? Probably there are a few guys there on Saturday trying to help

An un-named veteran said that the fishes are nice and really wild type.

Thanks for the help guys. Barmby, I just called this morning... so I didn't speak to Roland I guess. I'll definitely pay them a visit on Wednesday, heard they're closed tomorrow.

Thanks for the info Nature Beauty... though normally it might be better to PM prices, cos some shops don't like having their prices published online.

    Re: "Wild" Betta at Midori

Went down yesterday and got 5 rutilans for the tank in my study. The fish are all in very good condition. In particular, the bellica and foerschi are really good-looking. Those can be sexed, but the rutilans and uberis are a bit more tricky.

The trick to sexing wild bettas is to look at the dorsal and anal extensions of the male.

Indeed, they have fin extensions on dorsal and anal tips, making them look more regal than the female.
