don't think so. the male is too tiny to turn the large female. usually the male have to turn the female around to fertilize her.

as long as you keep seeing male shrimps zaping around the tank searching for something, you will get the chance to see the female get bellied

Do they mate like CPO? I have never witness my shrimps mate. They probably did "something" within seconds when the lights are out and next day the female one is berried.

Once mated, the female has to take awhile (about 0.5 ~ 0.75 day) before you can see the eggs being carried by female. So...just be patient, you would be able to see the result.

Do not under estimate by the male size, it doesn't have to over turn the female. As long as he entried at a good approaching angle, he can still mate the female.
