    No drift wood or stone used. Just simple plants.

    Thanks for sharing with us. Simple design is nice to me. Great job. Is that a DIY PL lighting set? How many watts per tube? Is this tank still going on or decommission already? It will be great if you can share with us your setup.

    Looks like "36W X 8 tubes = 288W" PL lights to me

    Hi blue33,

    Tank decommissioned. The stats were:

    Filter: Eheim 2215 x 2 (chain setup)
    Sediment: Lapis sand (top) + Sera tub fertilize (bottom) + root booster for lotus
    Light: DIY PL. 36 watt x 2 for each set. Individual switch for each PL.
    CO2: ADA beetle 50mm

    What is your tank size, such as the height, as i see your glosso is rooting down. What is your lighting kelvin? 8000k? Btw do you run chiller and what is your water temperature? Thanks.

    5ft for length. Height was >= 2.5ft. Can't recall.

    Its the usual OSRAM 36watt. I didn't know about the kelvin though. No chiller was used. Temperature was about 30 degree. The heat generated from the PL was hot really. If the weather was hot then, only 1 PL was switched for each set.

    Any reason why you do a filter chain setup of 2215? Better? You dosing any ferts? Do share with us when you have new setup and visit us more often. Looking at your setup and DIY lighting during that time really provide us invaluable knowledge.

    I figured since the bio load was pretty low, 2 canisters could provide more beneficial bacteria for such a big tank. All those while only 1 canister was on, the one that provided the inlet function. I did do dry fertilizers (from Dr Mallick's) and some liquid fertilizer from Seachem. During that time ADA stuffs were very expensive and hard to source, hence had to settle for the old school sediments.

    sadie, thanks for sharing (your tank) and commenting (my tank)

    By the way, yours is a 'divider tank' which can be seen from 4 sides. Aquascaping can be challenging. but I feel good.. looking at it. Very brave of you to use tiger lily, it is difficult to control them from shooting all over without disrupting the tranquil feel of the glosso
